Pasta 101 - The Basics

Flour, water, maybe an egg or two? In our first cooking class, we tackle the basics: how do I make pasta? Do I need a mixer? What is so special about the shapes anyway? In this class, we will start at the beginning. Led by two time James Beard nominee, Christopher Wilkins, students will learn how to make two different pasta doughs (by hand), how to make two basic shapes (there are roughly 350 different kinds, but we must start somewhere), and learn a very simple sauce or two. $75/pp. Wine and light snacks are included.
